   I am a full-stack engineer working in e-commerce for the National Pen (pens.com) business unit. National Pen is a leading player in the mass customization space. Our job is to provide a smooth e-commerce platform for organizations all over the world to place orders for personalized products in bulk.Responsibilities and accomplishments-1. Worked on integrating various payment methods in the customer facing website using third-party payment provider APIs (Adyen, Braintree, Klarna etc.). This moved the customer base away from unsecured card-not-present (CNP) payments and towards secure online payments.2. Created multiple end-to-end payment experiences customized to the user\'s choice of payment schedule. This enabled the user to pay for single/multiple orders, or combinations of shipments; thereby increasing the number and frequency of payments made, along with customer trust.3. Improved backend APIs to include more checks to handle payment failure and a retry mechanism.4. Worked on responsive webpage development to provide mobile-based customers with a clean yet detailed UI.5. Worked on improving the checkout experience of the customer by revamping older and slower APIs. This included creating new codebases, and migrating from older languages and standards to more streamlined and type-safe code.6. Implemented authorization checks in the backend APIs to prevent carts from being created by malicious users. This reduced the number of daily fraud orders.7. Mentored junior engineers into developing complete features independently.8. Took on the role of backup team lead whenever required. Collaborated with multiple teams to come-up with end-to-end features and solutions for the customer-facing website.9. Experienced in NodeJS, TypeScript, ExpressJS, ReactJS, CSS3, HTML5, Amazon Web Services (AWS), GraphQL and CommerceTools APIs.
