About Shashwat Tripathi
An earth science graduate with a BS-MS Dual Degree from IISER Kolkata, I bring a strong foundation in research, leadership and cross-functional collaboration. My academic journey has been marked by national-level achievements, including being selected for the prestigious HUL Foundation School (1 of 60 nationwide), earning the MITACS Globalink Research Internship in Canada and securing a top rank (AIR 42) in the KVPY SB examination.My research experience spans across environmental and climate science domain, with hands-on projects investigating microplastics’ impact on soil contamination and biochar’s role in sustainable agriculture. I have presented my work at international forums such as the IWA World Water Congress in Copenhagen. My internships at IIM Calcutta and IIT Kharagpur have equipped me with market analysis, benchmarking and data-driven problem-solving skills.Beyond research, I have demonstrated leadership as a Student Placement Coordinator, successfully managing campus recruitment for over 150 students and onboarding top companies. I am passionate about mentoring, having guided junior students through educational programs and thrive in team environments - whether managing a team in a cricket league or curating academic modules as a Teaching Assistant. As i begin my PGDM BM at XLRI Delhi NCR, I am eager to leverage my diverse skill set to contribute to impactful projects in business and management at the intersection of science, strategy, and sustainability.
