The Doha Metro CBTC solution is based upon the SelTrac® Convergence MS Product 4G and is supplied by Thales Canada, Transportations Solutions (TCTS), CBTC (Communication Based Train Control), based on moving block principle for world’s longest driverless metro system ( Doha metro).• Provide rapid response to ATC-related incidents and failures at stations, depots & OCC, limiting their impacts and restoring services promptly, safely and Minimizing inconvenience to the users of Doha Metro. • Reporting to the ATC Team Leader, responsibilities includes the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance on the automatic train control system covering System Management Centre (SMC), Vehicle Control Centre (VCC), central control (vital and non-vital), vehicle onboard equipment (VOBC), Operation Control Center and line side equipment to ensure the unlikelihood of system failures thereby ensuring smooth operation of Metro and availability of service agreed standards demand, within reasonable resource constraints. • Failure Investigations of the automatic train control system and signalling system. • Perform dynamic testing of the Trains, download data, and analyze it for fault finding and investigation for Route cause analysis, prepare fault reports for the same. • Replace faulty signalling equipment, handover/taken back to the electronics workshop for repair. • Fault analysis and rectification using the SMC simulator and Playback files, Preparing VOBC fault reports according to different faults reported on a monthly basis.
