About Sharon Myers
I fell in love with Materials Science and Electron Microscopy at Northwestern University. My first work/ study job was cleaning the TEM lab darkroom on a weekly basis. Microscopes all have digital cameras now, but I still have great satisfaction taking, and training others, on how to take beautiful and scientifically important images. In parallel, I have a talent for determining root cause for many types of failures and determining the correct analytical method, whether it is photon, electron or ion beam based (Materials and Surface analysis) or wet chemistry methods. In Silicon Valley, I have developed extensive consumer electronics experience and broad technical expertise in support of Failure Analysis, Reliability and Product Development for HDD disk development and manufacturing, Thin Film Technology, semiconductors, electrical and mechanical components, polymers and metals.
