Working within an Arms length Government body, AWE has a huge mission to achieve some of the worlds most key deterrents to the UK.My role as A Category Manager consists of-Delivering multi million pound projects via the appropraite procurement route-understanding and delivering the NEC Contractual route -Working Closely with external frameworks such as CCS-Working in a very complex stakeholder environment -using Internal and External Frameworks to deliver tactical projects-Creating bespoke procurement activity within SCM to deliver complex projects -Ensuring that the public regulations are adhered to-Engaging with the market to conclude what type of procurement would be advisable; E.G Direct Award, Competed Tender, Use Of Frameworks and complete a mini competitionThis then dictated if I needed to consider using EOI/RFI/RFQ/RFP/PQQ/ITT -Training new staff -Adding Value to my role and supporting strategy high level projects has been a key to my success with high level stakeholders-Creating new ways of working to support the business with new objectives - e.g Support with Governance protocol-Navigate complex business needs, ensuring delivery to the end Customer (DNO/MoD)A Key Benefit to this role is being able to work a 9 day fortnight
