ABOUT SHARON WILCOX
Sharon Wilcox started her legal career in 1983 while with the Legal Registries Office with the Department of Justice at Yellowknife, N.W.T. She worked there as a Legal Registries Clerk and later, a Second Deputy Registrar. She moved on to the private sector as a Real Estate Paralegal and was appointed as a Notary Public in and for the Northwest Territories.She relocated to Victoria, BC in 1991 where she continued her work as a Real Estate Paralegal, and later she worked for BC Human Rights Commission as an Executive Legal Assistant assisting with the complaints process within the Commission. From to 2001 she was a legal instructor at both Camosun College and Sprott Shaw Community College in Victoria. She was then appointed as Camosun’s Practicum Supervisor for the Legal Program and was responsible for arranging the placement of 29 students into the Victoria legal community.It was her keen interest in assisting these students that brought her to the business of providing valuable job placement assistance to legal staff and lawyers. Legal Staff Solutions has been a primary focus for Sharon since 2002 and she is dedicated to continuing her efforts in this area.
