Head of Client Performance @NHS Shared Business Services

Sharon has worked for 20 years in NHS finance working in NHS Trusts before joining the original NHS Shared Business Services project team in 2003, tasked with establishing the shared services concept to the NHS. Originally briefed with designing and building the F&A process and systems before using her skills and experience across all process areas including implementing clients. She has a real passion to make a difference to the NHS by driving through F&A improvements for clients through systematic review of effectiveness and costs. She has held various roles within NHS SBS and is now head of the Client Performance function.The dedicated Client Performance team within Finance and Accounting (F&A) helps sustain optimum performance, keeping operating costs low, increasing knowledge base and enabling more funds to be focused on improving patient care. Focused on results and benefits, F&A Client Performance services enable NHS organisations to• Improve users’ understanding of processes and systems, embedding training to ensure skills are not lost if key staff leave • Streamline processes to ensure time is used most effectively • Clearly define roles and handover points, both internally and between the organisation and NHS SBS, to avoid duplication or tasks not being performed NHS Shared Business Services is the leader in business support services for the NHS and currently works in partnership with more than 50% of all NHS Trusts and organisations to deliver £1billion pounds of savings back to the NHS by 2020.We offer innovative services specifically designed for the NHS which additionally include: Employment Services; Procurement and Primary Care Services. We have a number of quality accreditations including ISAE 3402 the International Standards for Assurance Engagements (ISAE) and Service Organization Control (SOC) reporting and ISO 27001 - International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Information Security Management standard.
