ABOUT SHARON PRESTON
Part of my DNA is event coordinating including managing Diversity Leadership Programs with Monster, Inc. at Cisco, managing diversity events as part of the employee network leadership at Apple, and chairing conferences for WCAN (Women of Color Action Network). As the special events coordinator for Unity Palo Alto Community Church, I managed the regional education program hosted there, in addition to the ongoing classes, workshops, and special summer programs. I have many years’ experience recruiting, training and preparing volunteers for several organizations. In addition, I provided professional training on writing tools (hardware and software) to technical writers. My employment history in conjunction with my volunteer activities have contributed to providing me with extensive experience in managing programs, interfacing with various levels of management for funding requests; recruiting, managing and training volunteers; and successfully connecting with students of all ages under a variety of circumstances. I enjoy coaching people in life skills and career success. I am passionate about personal, spiritual and career development and am excited to share my experiences and knowledge with all who are interested. I enjoy helping students own their economic success.
