Lead engagement strategies with the US Government, Congress, major foundations, and multi-national corporations to combat human trafficking and violence impacting people in poverty. Efforts include: legislative reforms, appropriations, advocacy campaigning, thought leadership, coalition building, and fundraising with both the USG and private sectors. Initiatives include: cyberscamming, OSEC (on-line sexual exploitation of children), force labor slavery, violence against women and children, police abuse of power, and survivor empowerment. Team highlights:• Serve as public policy thought leaders on systems reforms, including positioning IJM to testify before Congress 6 times in the last 3 years.• Raised over $20 million in grants from the US Government, major foundations and multi-national corporations. Includes a $5 million award from the State Department for a prestigious Child Protection Compact with the Government of Romania.• In Congress, conduct appropriations advocacy regarding Foreign Operations accounts. Successfully advocated for passage of tech-facilitated trafficking legislation. Promote continued policy reforms on cyber-scamming and the “Online Sexual Exploitation of Children” via USG outreach, coalitions and our Advocacy Summit. • Host annual 2-day Advocacy Summit for 200 participants featuring training followed by ~250 meetings in Congress to address tech-facilitated slavery.
