The current climate of long term care is rapidly changing. Clients need advocates who posses a strong knowledge base of the complex systems influencing their health. This includes: Medicaid, Medicare, community based services and an array of burgeoning quality, private pay services to choose from. Areas of specialization include: dementia care & advocacy, family & caregiver counseling, mental health consult and education, crisis prevention, hoarding and home safety intervention for vulnerable/at-risk populations, clinical social work intervention, government benefits and entitlements. Special populations include: LGBT, Holocaust survivors, mental health consumers, Older adults suffering from multiple comorbidity and chronic disabilities.
