ABOUT SHARIKA BHAN
About MeWhat if the key to better Parkinson\'s rehabilitation lay in how the brain imagines movement? That\'s the question that pulled me into cognitive neuroscience, and I haven\'t looked back since.I\'m a Cognitive Neuroscience & Neuropsychology Researcher with a background spanning neuroimaging, mixed-methods design, and patient-centred clinical research. I recently completed my MRes (with Merit) at the University of Manchester, investigating embodiment and motor imagery in people with Parkinson\'s disease, blending quantitative neuroimaging with qualitative patient interviews to surface insights that matter at the bedside, not just the bench. Core SkillsMy toolkit spans both the technical and the human: fMRI · EEG · TMS · R · NVivo · SPSS · JASP · FSL · Thematic Analysis · Ethics Submissions · PPI Frameworks · Experimental Design · Neuropsychological Assessment.I move fluidly between statistical modelling and lived-experience data, because the most powerful research speaks both languages. From designing ethically robust protocols to conducting rigorous thematic coding, I bring precision to every stage of the research process. Key Achievements Co-authoring a manuscript on motor imagery education for People with Parkinson\'s (University of Manchester, 2024–25)- translating MRes findings into publishable clinical guidance. Presented at The Rio Conference (Liverpool Hope University, 2024)- sharing neuroimaging expertise with an international research audience. Synthesised 50+ peer-reviewed studies in a systematic review on gut microbiota, anxiety, and depression at undergraduate level. Founded Mindclusive (2019–Present)- an inclusion initiative for marginalised communities, running for 6+ years. What I BringI sit at the intersection of rigorous science and real-world impact. My First Class Honours in Psychology & Biology and MRes training mean I don\'t just collect data, I translate it into evidence that clinicians and policymakers can actually use. I thrive in cross-disciplinary teams, having coordinated stakeholders across NHS-adjacent research, hospital neuropsychology settings, and international academic conferences. I mentor, communicate clearly, and make complex brain science accessible to any audience.🤝 Let\'s ConnectOpen to opportunities in clinical neuroscience, neuroimaging research, cognitive rehabilitation, or patient-centred health innovation. Let\'s build research that makes a real difference! s••••••••@gmail.com
