WRITING/EDITING EXPERTISE:I have been writing professionally and creatively for more than 20 years with experience writing in a wide variety of formats. From interviews to AP news stories to feature stories to marketing content, I can write it, and write it well. WORK WITH THE LOS ANGELES BUSINESS JOURNALIn addition to developing my own multi-media company and collecting my creative works to publish and share with others, I currently report on technology, arts and philanthropy for the Los Angeles Business Journal, a long-standing business weekly providing in-depth coverage of communities throughout Los Angeles County. I began writing for the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2008 and covered the city\'s retail and hospitality sectors and am glad to remain part of a reputable community business paper closely connected to all aspects of business in the region - from the city\'s business leaders and influencers to its numerous industries and more. I enjoy the art of interviewing and getting to know business professionals and companies. Communication and connecting with others is another strength of mine. POLITICAL SCIENCE/DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION/RACE RELATIONS RESEARCH AND EXPERTISE:With my BA in Political Science, with honors, and MA in History from Stanford University, in addition to studying the topics the of race relations and colonialism in at Oxford University and Stanford, I acquired in-depth knowledge specializing in the dynamics of communities and race relations, a timely and an important topic we must collectively address around the world today. In addition, I continue to take courses and receive certifications in the areas of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging. While at Stanford and Oxford, I received grants to travel, research and write my first honors thesis. The work highlighted the importance of municipal politics and community relations and proposed coalition-based solutions, which involved municipal politicians, community members and representatives of the local police forces. STANFORD VOLUNTEER WORK:I currently volunteer for Stanford Oval Admissions program, interviewing prospective candidates and participate in several Stanford alumni clubs in Los Angeles. As an undergraduate at Stanford, I was selected to become and remain a lifetime member of Stanford’s Cap & Gown Society, a women\'s leadership organization which includes our Honorable Justice Sandra Day O\'Connor.
