About Shari Kathe

Shari Kathe is an Assurance Partner with RSM US. Shari began her career with the Firm in 1987 and has over 35 years of integrated experience in analytical and decision-making roles, with a solid ability to combine pragmatic thinking with a rigorous financial discipline to accounting operations, auditing, and financial reporting. Shari recently transferred to the Madison RSM office to be the Office Managing Partner. Shari’s background includes experience in providing audit and consulting services and she has also held an executive financial position with a large middle market logistics company. Shari serves a variety of clients with concentrations in the manufacturing, distribution and service industries. Shari serves a variety of verticals with special emphasis on logistics, retail and distribution, co-operatives, and industrial manufacturing. She works extensively with private equity portfolio companies and has significant experience with international operations and acquisition assistance. Shari earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Winona State University, majoring in both Accounting and Business Administration, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Salutatorian of the College of Business. In 2003, she completed the Women’s Leadership Forum curriculum at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. Shari has a strong process orientation and demonstrated skills in designing and guiding corporate finance functions through growth and change management. She gained significant experience managing all financial and general accounting functions, including reporting, general ledger, credit, budgeting, financing, tax, treasury, payroll, financial analysis, budgeting, planning, accounting operations design and re-engineering, internal control compliance, and risk management functions. Shari leverages her unique industry experience based perspective to the audit approach and her client relationships, demonstrating \"the power of being understood.\"
