About Sharanyan Srikanthan
I work on application performance characterization and providing micro-architecture feedback/influence used for designing future Intel server architectures.My main focus is the performance of the caching hierarchy, and I work on innovative tools/analysis techniques to understand cache utilization/efficiency and overheads incurred due to the hierarchical coherence protocols used on Intel servers.Additionally, I work on simulations to analyze the performance of core and uncore components of the micro-architecture. I also routinely work on fundamental performance characterization, validation, and debugging of yet-to-be-released Xeon Server products. Developing new tools and methodologies to analyze and uncover software performance issues is also very dear to me.
