ABOUT SHARAD MAHESHWARI

I am an abdominal radiologist & AI Researcher with over 27 years of clinical and academic experience, trained at leading international institutions and deeply engaged in radiology education, research, and systems innovation.Current Focus – Clinician-Led Responsible AI in Imaging & Care Pathways. I have completed the Leadership with AI program at the Indian School of Business (2025) and focus on translating AI from experimental models into clinically deployable, interpretable, and safety-aligned systems. Especially the focus is on Resource Restrained region in Global South. I am founder of BeResponsibleAI. I am also India lead for TechBrews, a Singapore based Internatiinal Healthcare Networking group. My academic training includes the AARI Scholarship at the University of Michigan, a Clinical Fellowship in Abdominal Imaging at the University of Toronto, and faculty practice at McGill University. Since 2008, I have been part of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai, a 720-bed tertiary care center, where I continue to practice, teach, and mentor postgraduate trainees.I have authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters, serve as a reviewer for AJR and national journals, and act as a thesis reviewer for the National Board of Examinations. I have delivered over 200 invited lectures nationally and internationally and remain actively involved in postgraduate education and faculty development.
