About Shara Belton
My name is Shara, and I’m currently seeking an entry-level Data Analyst / Research Analyst / Database Admin / Data Engineering / Deverloper role in industries like healthcare, life sciences, finance, non-profits, and public service. I graduated The University of Maryland, Global Campus in May 2024 with a major in Computer Science. I have also graduated from The University of Maryland, College Park in May 2021 with a major in Kinesiology & Exercise Science. While at UMGC, I established and grew my passion for Python and SQL. Some of the courses that fascinated me most were Building Secure Python Applications and Relational Database Concepts & Applications, where I first learned to use pandas for data visualization & data management, and had hands-on experience with SQL and Python. Currently, I am continuing my education on online learning platforms like edX, Kaggle, and Udemy to learn data cleaning, R, statistical analysis & modeling, python for data science, and much much more. Outside of the classroom, my experience in various dance clubs allowed me to gain skills in time management, communication, leadership, attention to detail, and conflict resolution.Off-campus, I was afforded the opportunity to intern for Studio Mosaic as a Development Assistant. While at Studio Mosaic, I have utilized skills in web development, content population, ai prompting, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and research. During these experiences, I discovered I was eager to pursue work involving more research and data after graduation. If you’ve come across my profile, I would love to connect and learn more about opportunities at your organization.
