About Shantanu Majumder
I am a senior majoring in Electrical Engineering and minoring in Mathematics at Texas Tech University projected to graduate on May 2023. Currently I\'m seeking for entry-level full time-positions. While being in the College of Engineering, I have strategically focused my coursework in the following areas: 1) Circuit and Analysis [Multisim and LTspice] 2) Embedded Systems [Arduino Uno, Basys 3, Raspberry Pi, and MSP430] 3) Linear Systems 4) Power Electronics 5) Control Theory 6) Electromagnetics Theory 7) Electric Machines & Drive 8) Analog Communication Systems Using my knowledge, I have worked on group projects listed below: 1) Fast High Voltage Pulse Generator using GaN devices · Designing a pulse generator capable of delivering up to 500 V to a 50 Ohm load with a controllable pulse width of 20 – 100 ns and rise and fall time of 5ns using GaN HEMTs, DC-DC isolators, and high-side single switch gate drivers. · Developing a controls circuit to vary the pulse produced using Arduino Uno, Schmitt Triggers, and potentiometers 2) Project WSR - VHF NBFM Weather Satellite Receiver · Worked with a 3-person team to design a weather satellite receiver capable of receiving signals in the frequency range 137 MHz with an input power of -100 dBm and providing an audio output of the demodulated signal at approximately +36 dBm output power. · Designed an Intermediate Frequency Stage consisting of a 4-stage 2nd Order Butterworth Filter and Common Emitter Amplifier chain to filter out the noise and amplify the gain of 10.7 MHz signal. 3) Project WALL-E - Automated Rover · Constructed and documented the development of an autonomous robot programmed to navigate a 10\'x10\' playing field identifying simulated potentially hazardous locations, avoiding walls, and controlling through Morse-coded signals sent by the user · Worked with a 3-person team consisting of myself as an electrical engineer, a project engineer to manage expenses and progress of the project, and a software engineer to integrate and test various Verilog modules on the rover · Delivered weekly presentations regarding the project’s progress and a final pitch to promote the rover to potential investors such as the U.S Army as a landmine rover to detect landmines
