ABOUT SHANNON N. PROCTOR
Shannon N. Proctor brings her decade-plus experience in the pharmaceutical industry to her products liability practice. She defends pharmaceutical companies in high-stakes litigation in both federal and state courts nationwide. Experienced in all phases of litigation, Shannon has extensive experience authoring a wide variety of motions and pleadings, taking depositions, and preparing expert witnesses for deposition and trial.Prior to joining the firm, Shannon worked in a global FDA practice where she advised clients on various regulatory matters. She is the Deputy Editor-in-Chief for the American Bar Association’s Landslide® Magazine and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. An active member in the community, Shannon serves as a mentor for the Legal Mentor Network and on the Emory DC Network Board where she supports Emory Cares initiatives and service opportunities throughout the DC area. She is a founding member of the Jacksonville University Black Alumni Network which facilitates engagement opportunities for Black alumni and students. Shannon has been recognized as a 2024 Best Lawyers in America Ones to Watch for Product Liability Litigation, 2023 Rising Star in Super Lawyers and, was on the 2022 Lawyers of Color Annual Hot List. She leads the Firm’s Women Attorneys of Hollingsworth Community Group and Legal Aid Committee. Following law school, Shannon served as a law clerk for the Hon. Deborah A. Robinson at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and for the Hon. Christian J. Moran at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, Office of Special Masters. Shannon holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Jacksonville University and a J.D. from Emory University School of Law.
