ABOUT SHANNON HEARD

As Associate Director of Executive Education at the Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas, I lead the design and delivery of executive education programs in Central Arkansas. My role spans strategic marketing, financial reporting, program and proposal development, and managing both learning experiences and the physical space where they take place. I thrive in the details, but I never lose sight of the people we’re serving.At the heart of my work is a commitment to building strong, lasting relationships—with clients, learners, partners, and colleagues. Whether I’m shaping new initiatives or refining processes, I’m driven by the belief that impactful learning experiences can transform careers, teams, and communities.Before joining Walton College, I served as Manager of Program Design at the Arkansas Academy for Educational Equity, where I helped shape leadership development opportunities for educators across the state.I hold an MBA from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Reynolds College of Business), where I maintained a 4.0 GPA while working full-time. I’m proud to be a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi. I earned my undergraduate degree from Sewanee: The University of the South, majoring in economics and music.Outside of work, you can find me volunteering, kickboxing, journaling, spending time with loved ones, or deep in a book on personal growth. Music is a lifelong passion—especially jazz, hip-hop, and soul.
