About Shannon Sullivan

As a Director of Complex Assets at Fidelity Charitable, I combine my background in law and financial services with my passion for impactful philanthropy. I work with donors, their advisors, and corporate attorneys to facilitate charitable contributions of non-publicly traded assets (including private business interests and private equity and hedge fund investments) to achieve the most favorable tax treatment with the greatest charitable impact. I\'m an attorney licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and also hold a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation. Fidelity Charitable, an independent public charity, founded the country’s first national donor-advised fund in 1991. We work with donors and advisors to provide guidance and resources for effective charitable planning. Our mission is to grow the American tradition of philanthropy by providing programs that make charitable giving accessible, simple, and effective. Since inception, Fidelity Charitable has granted more than $100 billion to over nonprofit organizations thanks to the generosity of its donors.
