About Shannon Scott

Accomplished strategic executive leader and officer with known expertise in the footwear industry. My past experience inspired me to become a founder of the groundbreaking footwear and local supply chain company COMUNITYmade. I am utilizing my accumulated skills to guide and manage several areas of the business as President, COO, CMO, and CFO. My extensive career over the years has included many different facets of executive-level management including Brand Strategy, Brand Marketing, Advertising, Footwear, and Apparel Marketing /Merchandising. I have led the strategy and directed all areas of Brand Marketing with an emphasis on Advertising Creative, Media Strategy, Integrated/Experiential Marketing, Events, Public Relations, Digital Marketing and Creative Services. Many of the programs that I have created and directed involve multi-platform integration with key members of the sales team, retailers, internal retail marketing, the events and promotions team, athlete managers, and an e-commerce and own retail team. I have worked as a key strategic member of a Global Marketing team for over ten years and have worked closely with counterparts in Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Americas to craft a variety of cut-through programs and messaging. I enjoy working on multiple levels of integrated marketing to motivate and inspire consumers and understand all levels of strategy and implementation. I have a unique ability to identify new ways to create messaging that resonates on multiple platforms with consumers as they are exposed to a brand and love getting to the core of what makes people tick. I thrive in group environments and I am able to assess situations quickly to identify the best way to proceed where all parties can benefit. I am an excellent mentor and I like building brands that are meaningful in people\'s lives for many years to come.

   COMUNITYmade, INC (yes, with just one “m”) is a unique brand and retail experience with local manufacturing, a makers community, and our own brand of premium sneakers handcrafted in the vibrant Arts District in downtown Los Angeles. Our mission is to be a catalyst for change; inspiring action, participation, and empowerment of others in the community. We are very passionate about producing items closer to where the customers are as we feel the overseas mass production model is outdated. By producing closer to our customers, we can ensure that people are paid a fair living wage for their craft, and that the carbon footprint of overseas shipping is minimized. Better for people, better for the planet! In addition to our own brand, we offer private label design, development, and production services for all sizes of businesses from individual creators to large established businesses and everything in between. We have a deep understanding of every step of the process to produce premium products from our years of experience at larger companies in the industry. We have developed our own proprietary network of suppliers and manufacturers with sustainability in mind. My main responsibilities as President, CMO, CFO and COO at COMUNITYmade includes all things marketing, social, branding, community relations, website, events and retail experiences, finances and operations. Building a brand from scratch is one of my super powers and I continue to build on that power daily as a founder.
