Legal Operations is the engine room of the legal department—where people, process, and technology align to drive efficiency, insight, and impact. I like to think of myself as the “ground crew” behind the legal team: while they’re flying the plane, I’m on the runway in the reflective vest, guiding takeoff and landing, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.In my role, I focus on enabling thoughtful collaboration and continuous improvement. Whether it\'s optimizing workflows, refining reporting processes, or leveraging data to surface trends and risks, I aim to shift the team from reactive to proactive. I’m not just pulling reports—I’m interpreting them, asking what the data means, and identifying early signals that help us course-correct before issues arise.Vendor and firm management is a major part of my runway. From onboarding and tech support to maintaining databases and training materials, I ensure our partners are equipped for success. It’s a complex ecosystem, but one that’s essential for budget forecasting, strategic planning, and delivering value. I see it as fueling the plane, checking systems, and coordinating logistics so the legal team can stay focused on flying at full altitude.Legal Ops is a blend of process, technology, and relationships—and I’m passionate about keeping all three in sync to support a high-performing legal function.
