ABOUT SHANNON GARRETT
As an Environmental Science and Policy student at the University of Maryland, I am passionate about finding innovative and scalable solutions to address the global challenges of sustainability and health. I have a strong academic background in environmental science, policy, sustainability studies, and business, which enables me to integrate multidisciplinary perspectives and approaches to complex problems.I have also gained valuable hands-on experience in the sustainability and health sectors through my internship at Ahold Delhaize, the largest grocery retail group on the East Coast. There, I defined the U.S. Health Framework, executed high-quality deliverables, conducted comprehensive research, formulated IT solutions, and collaborated with the international division. Additionally, I have demonstrated my leadership and coordination skills as a Residential Engagement Intern at the Office of Sustainability at UMD, where I managed the innovative Terp to Terp ReUse Store and the Green Terp program ambassador group, as well as the social media platforms for both initiatives.I am looking for a full-time job in the greater Washington Metropolitan Area in sustainability, where I can apply my skills and knowledge, and contribute to the positive impact of the organization. I am eager to learn from and work with diverse and talented teams, and to pursue my professional and personal growth.
