Over 18 years of experience in Network Engineering with approximately 10 years dedicated to supporting the Infrastructure Security as part of the Infrastructure Defense Team. Major responsibilities / accomplishments include, but not limited to: • Provide guidance to application owners in regards to the firewall access request process as well as process firewall requests to allow application communications • Play an active role in the Security Incident Response Team for Advance Auto Parts • Design, implement and support internet access proxy environment (including policies for URL filtering, SSL Inspection, Antimalware, etc) • Design, implement and support Network Intrusion Detection / Prevention System • Design, Implement, support and conduct internal training on McAfee SIEM product • Support of McAfee Endpoint security products including Host Intrusion Prevention, Host based firewall, Virus Scan, and Endpoint Encryption • Project lead for migrating network perimeter security infrastructure management to 3rd party Security Operation Center • Mentor / Coach junior engineers with various implementations or issue troubleshooting • Design, implement and support the migration from Cisco Firewall Services Modules to ASA Services Modules (to include design change from Routed to transparent mode as well as move to a multi-context design) • Support remote access, extranet, and business partner communications • Assist in design suggestion / implementation in accordance to Sarbanes Oxley, PCI and other audit requirements • Develop and implement remediation plans for managed systems identified during both internal and external vulnerability scans • Develop network design / architectural documentation for various products
