ABOUT SHANNON DEMARCO
With over 15 years of experience in multi-national organizations, I am a passionate leader with expert skills in agility, program delivery and creating environments for teams to perform their best work. Prior to consulting with Scrum, Inc, I was the director of the agile transformation at BP, where I developed and executed the strategic direction to integrate agile framework into complex oil and gas transformation projects. I consulted, trained, and coached leaders and teams to enable innovation, modernization, and collaboration across 22 global business units. I partnered with Learning & Development to establish a capability development program and oversight for agile service line with 100 external coaches and 25 faculty. As a result of this work, we collectively improved productivity and reduced cycle times by 50%, created a viral movement and grassroots demand for agile practices, and delivered 600+ experiential and vibrant courses to 10K team members. I was a thought leader and a valued partner for executive teams across the organization, enabling agility to enhance leadership, team, and enterprise performance.
