After several decades as a healthcare executive leading safety, quality, experience, clinical teams/medical groups, and clinical operations and as a practicing pediatric hospitalist, I am focused on (1) making life at work better in healthcare,(2) improving and simplifying the measurement of health with emphasis on the patient perspective and (3) paying forward all the grace, learning and experience I have had over many years as a leader. The healthcare experience should deliver health, healing, and love. When we are highly reliable in care and caring, we create the space for caregivers and teams to thrive and provide the best outcomes, health, care process/operations, and cost.
