ABOUT SHANNON BILBRAY-AXELROD
As an Assemblywoman at the Nevada State Legislature for over seven years, I represent District 34 and champion education policy that promotes equity, quality, and innovation. I chair the Assembly Education Committee, where I oversee the development and implementation of policies and programs that support the academic success and well-being of students and educators across the state. I also serve on several other committees, such as Judiciary, Government Affairs, and Natural Resources, where I contribute to the legislative process and ensure the interests and needs of my constituents are heard and addressed. In addition to my legislative duties, I am also the Principal of Silver State Strategies, a consulting firm that specializes in strategic communication, advocacy, and community development. I lead a dynamic team that leverages my expertise in policy, public affairs, and issue-based advocacy to help clients achieve their goals and create positive social impact. I have worked with a diverse range of organizations, including nonprofits, businesses, and coalitions, on issues such as health care, environment, and economic development. I am skilled in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, fundraising, and media relations. I am passionate about making a difference in my community and advancing the common good.
