As the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Wichita Public Schools, I have the privilege of overseeing Early Childhood programs, including Parents as Teachers, and ensuring educational excellence across our district. With a diverse background in leadership, from my previous role as Executive Director of Elementary Schools to serving as a principal, coach, and teacher, I’ve developed a passion for empowering educators and fostering student success.I hold degrees from Friends University and Baker University, along with a Superintendent License from Wichita State University. I’m endorsed as a Reading Specialist, in Early Childhood, and in ESOL. My experience also includes teaching at the collegiate level as an adjunct instructor.Throughout my 33-year career with Wichita Public Schools, I’ve focused on improving low-performing schools and building strong, capable teams. My guiding philosophy centers on keeping \"Kids At The Heart\" of every decision I make, striving to create impactful change and lasting positive outcomes for our students and staff.
