ABOUT SHANNA UTGARD
As the vCIO of Compliance at RoundTable Technology, I helped nonprofit and social impact organizations achieve their missions by providing strategic IT guidance and compliance solutions. Previously, I was a Senior Cybersecurity Advocate at Defendify, where I educated and empowered small organizations on cost-effective ways to strengthen their cybersecurity posture. I also have a background as a paralegal, where I personally experienced advanced business email compromise and almost wired $2.1m to a threat actor. This experience shifted my career goals from law school to cybersecurity best practice advocacy.My core competencies include strategic advising, client relationship management, project management, risk assessments and gap analysis projects, and cybersecurity or compliance training. I am passionate about helping organizations leverage emerging technology, and I enjoy collaborating with diverse and dynamic teams to deliver value and impact.
