Dr. Shanna N. McClain is the Disasters Program Manager for NASA\'s Earth Sciences Division. In this role, she leads a dynamic team to advance the use of Earth science information for reducing disaster risk, improving disaster response, and building resilience. She helps define NASA\'s role in resilience through the development of EO-focused approaches in fragile and crisis-affected areas and identifying strategic and non-traditional partnerships that can improve linkages between science and policy. Manager of NASA Earth Science Division\'s Disasters Program. Designed, launched, and manages three Program Elements - the Disaster Response Coordination System (DRCS), the Disasters Science to Action Portfolio, and the Disasters Partnership and Learning Platform. The DRCS provides near-real-time information to support active disaster response teams around the world. The Risk/Recovery/Resilience Porfolio drives human-centered design approaches to develop cutting edge tools and applied science for supporting decisions across extreme events, anticipatoryaction, vulnerability and exposure. Finally, the Partnership and Learning Platform is the Program\'s central hub to educate, train, and co-design Earth-science based solutions for a range of disaster management decisions. Program Applications manager of the NISAR, INCUS, and LACCE missions, and Lead for the SNWG Solutions on Harmonized Landsat-Sentinel Low Latency and Vertical Land Motion.
