About Shanna Lea

I am an artist by passion, a designer by trade, and a cat lover by heart! I pride myself on being a designer that fosters collaboration through communication, innovation + mentorship as a cyclical experience within teams. I craft simple + effective solutions for complex systems across industries. Open to connect!My UX Journey began during the pandemic, I saw how much digital product usability impacts the world. It inspired me to change the way technology helps people through design. UX+UI fit with my background in visual design and psychology. I graduated in 2023 with a Professional Certificate from UW-Madison in UX + UI Design and am ready to pair my experience in visual design, consulting and CX with my fresh technical skills in UX/UI. I am passionate about advocating for people through inclusive and accessible design. My dream job will allow me to make a positive difference in people\'s everyday lives. I hope to develop my skills further with UX Research, Voice + Service Design and Information Architecture. Currently I work as a Graphics Administrator, leveraging strong communication, research and technology to optimize workflows and deliver exceptional results through data driven graphics management with a focus on customer experience.When I\'m not working.My deepest rooted passion is in traditional art; I curate immersive experiences in my community through art residencies + volunteer work. I am passionate about collaborating with non-profits to enhance the artistic-culture in my area by providing resources and opportunity to all through workshop hosting + fundraising events. I have a style where pop-art meets surrealism with a touch of bizarre retrospection on constructs of modern culture and society. See my collections + upcoming events at that, I am inspired by going out of my way to bring simple joys to the people in my life. I enjoy baking for friends and family. While on furlough in 2020, I started an at-home bakery after my Banana Crème Pie post went viral locally- I made and delivered 300+ pies during that summer and continue to experiment with baking. I live an active lifestyle geared towards physical + emotional wellness; practicing affirmations, gratitude and a cyclical fitness routine for optimal health + longevity. I am an advocate for mental health resources and take the opportunity to help those around me whenever I can. I am a life-long learner and feed my desire for knowledge through self-development; my personal focus for 2025 is delving into Front End programming languages.
