Oversees all facility operations through the use of contractor or other personnel responsible for engineering, roads and grounds maintenance and repair, building sanitation maintenance, fire inspection and prevention, implementation of emergency disaster plans, and building and equipment inspection and repair-Develop policies-Work closely with Contracting Officers from VA National acquisition centers. Currently a Contracting Officer Representative, prepare acquisition plans, Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), develop Statement of Work and Statement of Objective documents, participate in Technical Reviews of Contract Offerors-Oversee building physical security and manage Department Of Homeland Security Protective Security Officer Staff-IT requirements and Infrastructure, desktop/classroom virtualization, Audio Visual for 16 classrooms, conference rooms, staff offices and workspaces-Facility budget yearly forecasting and execution-Leasing management and negotiation with the Landlord and Property Manager. Coordinate lease contract with VA Real Property Office-Coordinate all facility operational needs with the lessor and any other external sources as needed -Overall responsibility for work space planning and the management of organized moves of office resources and employees. Including remodels and build-outs-Oversee acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal of furniture and equipment-Coordinate and supervise visible projects to ensure that schedules and tasks are completed in a timely manner, people (including contractors) are supported as needed, appropriate technology and other equipment or material is provided as needed to complete work and stakeholders are kept informed of progress-Develop and implement methods to monitor performance by contractor and Government personnel against the contract lease and schedule, discover problems in development and implementation of the contract, and develop strategies to address issues
