I am currently working as a Group Engineering Manager leading a team of more than 400 engineers on Azure Storage at its India Development Center - building a hyper-scale storage system for all cloud storage needs of our customers. Azure storage is part of what we call \"Azure Core\", that forms (along with Compute, Networking and Specialized) the fundamental platform layer on which all other Azure services are built. Azure Storage team is chartered with building, running and managing an exabyte scale cloud storage for Azure - for both internal and external customers storing variety of data - from disk data for Azure VMs and container to blobs for powering AI, HPC, Backup for any type of data to HDFS compatible data for high throughput big data analytics to file shares supporting file systems protocols such as SMB and NFS natively. In addition, this team also powers the storage underlying some of the biggest data analytics and AI/ML platforms within Microsoft - from bing to windows to Microsoft 365. As Azure Storage grows in scope and size, we are expanding its footprint with newer innovations in agility, performance, scale, regional availability and cost effectiveness.We are actively hiring for various experience levels for IC and manager positions in Azure Storage India.
