ABOUT SHANIQUA HAYES L.
I used to think loving science and data meant being cloistered in a lab at the bench. I now combine my training as a scientist with a strength in storytelling to communicate complex scientific breakthroughs in cancer imaging and translational research to the community.Over time, I realized that my strongest contribution lies in analyzing, contextualizing, and communicating research rather than generating it. That shift has driven my transition into medical and scientific communications.Currently, I work on the development of radiopharmaceuticals for molecular imaging of ovarian and other cancers. My work requires rigorous analysis of complex datasets and literature, along with the ability to translate those findings into clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate messaging.I’m particularly interested in roles where scientific rigor and strategic communication intersect—especially within medical education and scientific communications.
