ABOUT SHANI PRIDE
My passion and purpose lies at the intersection of media and social impact. I\'m currently in development on a feature film I am writing and directing that will film in Italy in late 2024. I\'m also in development on a television series I created and wrote entitled Brownsville Redemption. Which explores complex themes around equity and access in marginalized communities. Additionally, I work with and creative consult for brands and companies surrounding all things impact-driven storytelling. Creating dynamic and thought-provoking campaigns, content creation, branding and marketing, web design, and communications. For years I worked professionally as an actor starring in commercially successful films and television, including American Horror Story, CSI and Weeds. I also starred in dozens of national commercial campaigns including AT & T, Best Buy, Verizon, Hallmark and Nature\'s Way. I began honing my craft at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts as a Theater Major. I continued my studies at UCLA Theater School, then studied with numerous reputable teachers in LA, NY and London. I then went on and studied/collaborated with distinguished institutions, including the Sundance Institute, to develop and sharpen my writing and directing skills.
