ABOUT SHANIKA CLAY
An Alabama native, I decided to attend the University of Tennessee after gaining admittance into the Chancellor’s Honors Program. After completing undergraduate and graduate studies in accounting, I became a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Georgia. After several years in audit and strategic project roles (6.5 years), I transitioned to the Data & Analytics space with an emphasis on Finance, HR, and IT communities (2 years). In 2019, I transitioned to educational leadership via the Broad Residency to support the Financial Services organization of Henry County Schools System. As I assume the helm of the Finance department, I am committed to support our Board’s vision of a high quality education for ALL students. I’m humbled and excited to navigate the path forward.
