ABOUT SHANEZ COLLURE

With over 20 years of experience in various human resources roles, I am a strategic HR leader who works collaboratively with operations and leaders of the business to ensure business targets are met. As the Director of People & Culture at Concordia University of Edmonton, I set the strategy of the People function for the university and restructured the function to lead a team of seven HR professionals including payroll and recruitment. I implemented an engagement survey and action planning, and managed a budget of 1.25 million while coaching senior managers on employee relation issues.My core competencies include people relationships, employee and labour relations, culture identification, talent management, disability management, performance management, change management, and strategic HR. I have a strong background in dealing with unions and workplace investigations, and a proven track record of coaching and guiding managers. I have a BSc from the University of Waterloo, a Post Graduate Diploma in HR Management from Humber College, a Certificate in Strategic Human Resources Leadership from Cornell University, and an Executive MBA from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management. I am also a Certified Professional Human Resources (CPHR) from CPHR Alberta. I am passionate about creating a positive and productive work environment, where people can thrive and grow.
