Shane remains actively involved at USC, where he has served as Chair of the USC Alumni Real Estate Network, President of the USC Price School of Public Policy Alumni Association, member of the USC Alumni Association Board of Governors, and mentor to current students. He is a frequently invited guest lecturer at USC on topics related to historic preservation and the land use entitlement process.
