ABOUT SHANE BUTLER

I am from Monticello, Utah. Growing up I learned to work hard on my Grandpa Butler\'s farm every summer. Through High School I excelled in athletics and music. I earned 3 state wrestling titles, a 1st team All-State selection in Football and a music scholarship with my trumpet.I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Houston, Texas from I attended Utah Valley State College on music scholarship and majored in Business Management from 19••••98 and in college I worked part-time as a sales rep for an auto glass company. Within 2 years I was the manager of the wholesale operation in Utah. In 2003 I was recruited into the Insurance and Financial Services industry. I became an agent with Farm Bureau Financial Services in 2004. In 2008 I became an Agency Manager in New Mexico. We moved our family to Las Cruces, NM and I began growing the agency with new recruits. From 2008 to 2015 I brought 45 new agents into our industry. My agency in New Mexico quickly became a consistent, top producing/award winning team.In 2015 we moved our family back to Utah. I joined the leadership team at MassMutual Intermountain West in beautiful Salt Lake City in May of 2016.During my time in this business I have developed a passion for helping people achieve financial security in a safe and efficient manner. I am also extremely motivated by seeing new advisors come into our industry and experience great success. I love to mentor and coach new advisors and see their career flourish and the happiness and security it brings to them and their family.I enjoy being in the outdoors, sports, music, dirt bikes, snowmobiling and especially golf. I love doing these activities with my family. Michelle and I have been happily married since 2002. We have been greatly blessed with 5 beautiful children: Braden, Kyle, Aleah, Addison, and Brett.
