About Shane Ragan
I am second generation insurance agent. My parents started Ragan Insurance Agency in 1969 with an empty filing cabinet and are still active in the agency. I graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1990 with a degree in Corporate Finance with an emphasis in Insurance. I also have a Certified Insurance Counselor designation. Since joining the family business, I have helped grow the client base to over in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. I am licensed in Georgia,Alabama,Florida,South Carolina,North Carolina,Tennessee and Texas. I handle the commercial lines for Ragan Insurance and assist the staff with personal lines accounts. I was also the President of the Professional Insurance Agents of Georgia 20••••11. My father and I are the only father and son to hold this honor to date for the Georgia Association. I understand the daily obligations of small business owners and that is why I focus my agency on this section of commercial insurance.
