Shane is currently leading the Engineering team at Front. Front is redefining work communications and collaboration with our shared inbox for teams. Front brings all of your communication channels (email, Facebook, Twitter, Twilio SMS, live chat etc.) into one place, so you can triage and assign messages, have internal conversations around them, and even sync work across other apps you use from Salesforce to GitHub, without ever leaving your inbox. Today, over companies rely on Front to power their communications, and we’re just getting started.Prior to Front, Shane was responsible for product development at Instart Logic. Previously, he was Director of R&D at VMware, where he spent 7 years overseeing a global team of engineers building the Lab Manager and vCloud Director solutions. Shane came to VMware through its acquisition of Akimbi Systems, where he was the Director of Engineering. Prior to Akimbi, Shane served 3 years as Director of Application & Web Development at Affinity Internet, where he was responsible for developing powerful hosting and e-commerce applications. Shane has a MA in Philosophy from the National University of Ireland, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Internet Systems Development from Dublin Institute of Technology.
