Leading 140 staff overall, I navigate two teams through a large-scale reorganisational programme of change, involving strategy development, risk assessments and continual people oversight to gauge impact. I form partnerships at local and regional level to encourage growth in tourism and relevancy to National Trust portfolio, engaging with political figures, local authorities and specialist agencies, as well as interacting with historic families across 3 estates. I encourage greater using of Welsh language within the National Trust Wales property portfolio. I lead a direct reporting team of consultants, coordinate events and conferences, create strategies to raise service standards from good to exceptional. I also oversee the conservation and care of a nationally significant collection of artefacts as part of the accredited museum. Some of my key contributions include:• Delivered a 7% increase in income to £1m+ at Chirk Castle in 2019/20 alone.• Enhanced Chirk visitors numbers to 182k, sustaining a 5% annual growth level.• Boosted visitor figures to 184k+ and income £933k at Powis Castle in 2019/20.• Piloted autism friendly offers nationally and reached disadvantaged Welsh communities.• Presented a clear report on wax cap fungi, wood and bat invertebrates across

ABOUT SHANE LOGAN
As a commercially aware and profit focused leader, I have gained high-level management experience across charitable, heritage and government sectors. My key strengths lie in driving operational excellence and delivering programmes designed to engage a wide and diverse range of people. This includes building an impressive network of key stakeholders and funders in local government and business during a successful career primarily with the National Trust.I am strategic in developing and implementing robust plans to encourage growth, engagement and motivation, maximising the use of high-level and cross-functional communication skills, relationship building and new partnership development. Previously, I facilitated partnerships with Princes Trust and UNESCO, as well as forming alliances with local politicians and councils to leverage support and expertise in strategy and programme execution.As a strong member of a senior management and delivery team, my aim is to guarantee consistency and high quality in lifecycle programme management. I am equally influential as an operations manager and leader in all aspects of the environment, natural resources, land management, forestry and agriculture. In particular, I have a passion for the Welsh natural environment as a team member of National Trust Wales.My motivational approach to coaching and mentoring teams and individuals has resulted in high standards of performance. I adopt a hands-on management style and always encourage individuals to shine. This is in addition to offering youth development opportunities and engaging the community on diverse projects and programmes. I have lead large teams incorporating 140 multi-disciplined staff whilst at the National Trust as well as motivating direct reporting consultants.As part of National Trust estate management, the role involved conservation and care of nationally significant collections, including historic furniture, ornaments, watercolours, lighting and fixtures, amongst other valuable and antique items.
