Senior Mechanical Engineer with 15 years’ experience designing, developing and industrialising complex products in regulated environments, including electromechanical and automated systems.My core discipline is mechanical engineering, with hands-on responsibility for mechanisms, enclosures, structures, materials and manufacturing processes. I specialise in practical product development — taking designs from early concept and CAD through prototyping, testing, certification and manufacturing handover.Over the past three years I have worked in the energy transition sector, delivering mechanical design for EV charging infrastructure and associated automation. This has included close collaboration with electrical and controls engineers to integrate PCBs, cabling, sensors and actuators into robust, manufacturable products.Key experience includes:• Mechanical design for electromechanical products and systems • Product development, prototyping and test rig design • Design for manufacture & assembly (DfMA)• Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)• Manufacturing process definition, vendor qualification and QMS • Environmental, lifecycle and endurance testing • Hands-on support to production and build issue resolution My background in oil & gas pressure systems and aerospace environments provides a strong foundation in safety-critical design, standards compliance and engineering judgement.I am currently completing an MSc at the University of Aberdeen in Industrial Robotics to further strengthen my capability in automation and mechatronics.
