About Shane Colburn
I’m a physicist and engineer who works on the design and modeling of advanced optical and metasurface systems. I like taking complex physics problems and turning them into practical solutions.I started EdgeDyne to help teams design, simulate, and optimize next-generation photonic metamaterial systems for imaging, sensing, communications, and computation. We also build tools that speed up simulation and make advanced modeling more accessible.We work with clients across a range of sectors including consumer electronics, semiconductor, medical imaging, automotive, remote sensing, and telecommunications.Mostly, I enjoy working with people to develop clear, efficient designs and make the technology side feel a little less complicated.
