Combining her love & knowledge of real estate, design, & business, Shanda is a REALTOR®, Broker & the owner of Adara Properties brokered by eXp Realty, an Atlanta-based boutique real estate company that specializes in residential & light commercial. At the heart of her business, activities focus on veterans, public servants, buyers, sellers, investors, business owners, & mentoring agents, contributing to sustainable community & economic development. Her passion focuses on her clients, educating them about the benefits, importance & values of homes that are energy efficient, healthy, & sustainable. Educating clients & raising awareness about the importance of indoor air quality, especially for people who are battling catastrophic illnesses, tackling housing affordability & energy inefficiencies are issues that she is very passionate about & by thinking global & acting local it moves us all in the direction of a more sustainable environment. Shanda is keenly focused on affordable and workforce housing in conjunction with equitable energy justice and sustainable living – she believes that that “Everyone deserves a safe, functional, energy-efficient and beautifully designed place to live in and call home”. Among the many professional certifications & designations from the National Association of REALTORS®, Shanda holds a GREEN designation; & is a Military Relocation Professional. In 2018, she received personal training from former U.S. Vice President Al Gore to become a local leader with the Climate Reality Project, is Environmental, Social, & Governance (ESG), & OSHA 30 certified. A proud Atlanta REALTORS® Association member, Shanda currently serves on the Executive Committee & is Vice-Chair of the Governmental & Community Affairs Committee. Her past roles include serving on the Board of Directors & Chairing several committees. Shanda continues to be a serve as member of several ARA committees, including the Diversity & Inclusion Council, & as a member of the Georgia Association of REALTORS® Housing Opportunity Committee & State Director. She also serves on several metro-Atlanta boards. Shanda has the honor of being a proud mother of two sons & a daughter, who are affectionately known as, ‘The Fab 3’, is also ‘Gigi’ to her granddaughter, grandson, & 2 grand dogs, & mom to her rescue cat. Shanda lives in Atlanta, is an avid home cook, baker, foodie, & wine aficionado. In her free time, she enjoys reading, antiquing, restoring, & reinventing furniture.
