About Shanal Gupta
From as far back as I can remember, I have been fascinated by technology. I was always the go-to person for anything tech-related, picking up new concepts with ease and finding joy in understanding how things worked. This passion led me to pursue a BTech in Computer Science, after which I spent two years working as a developer. It was during this stint that I was introduced to the world of Product Management. I was intrigued by the role of a Product Manager—someone who bridges the gap between business and technology, understands user needs, and makes impactful decisions about how a product evolves. Seeing a Product Manager translate user insights into impactful product decisions fascinated me—I knew this was the role for me.To build the right skill set, I pursued an MBA to strengthen my business acumen. Post-MBA, I stepped into Product Management, where I operate at the intersection of tech, business, and user experience to create meaningful products. Technology excites me not just for how it works, but for how it solves real problems.Over the course of my career, I have tackled complex challenges such as optimizing order allocation algorithms to reduce shipping costs and enhance guest delivery experience, enhancing the user experience and streamlining the journey to drive higher renewal rates for a consumer cybersecurity product, and building a partner engagement platform from the ground up.My experiences, both personal and professional, have shaped my perspective and taught me invaluable lessons about how I work best- Placing the user at the heart of every decision is fundamental to my approach- I excel at bringing ambitious ideas to life while navigating real-world constraints- I trust my instincts but always validate decisions with data- Individual success is rewarding, but enabling my team to thrive is even more fulfilling- I continuously seek to learn and grow, never content with the status quo- Challenges and setbacks drive me to stay composed and focused- I take responsibility for every decision and outcome, ensuring accountability in all I doI\'m always open to connecting with professionals passionate about technology, product and innovation.
