I lead the South capital allowances team. I have over 12 years of experience on a wide portfolio of clients and capital projects across the UK covering data centres, renewable energy (wind, solar and gas), retail and leisure sectors. I help businesses optimise tax relief on their capital investments, and deal with the complexities of the new legislation. A key part of my role is a focus on growth, internally and externally generated. I specialise in integrating tax requirements into live capital projects to improve the overall tax savings, and on other projects I work closely with clients to increase the level of tax relief obtained on historic capital expenditure. I take an interest in learning about the businesses I work with, with a view to understanding their current and future investment plans and their wider tax profile. This is to ensure we deliver the best results and take account of considerations that are not restricted to capital allowances such as land remediation, construction industry scheme and general corporate tax. I work closely with our national capital allowances team and as a result have long been passionate about flexible working and building team connections in a hybrid environment.
