About Shamkhal Mammadov
I am a research assistant at The University of Tulsa\'s Drilling Research Projects (TUDRP), where I conduct experiments and develop numerical models to predict CO2 corrosion rate in pipes. I am also a Ph.D. candidate in petroleum engineering with a focus on drilling and completion engineering. In addition, I hold three MS degrees in petroleum engineering, business analytics, and engineering from prestigious universities in the US, Austria, and Azerbaijan.As a research assistant, I am contributing to CO2 injection and transportation using mechanical software, semi-empirical methods, and physics-based methods. I am validating the numerical corrosion models by matching them with experimental data. As a completion engineer intern at NewTech Services, I prepared multilateral and horizontal wells’ designs and performed cost estimation and risk assessment for wells\' delivery. I have also tutored math and physics for the University of Tulsa Athletics. I am passionate about applying my skills and knowledge to solve real-world problems and advance the petroleum field, businesses, and science. I am eager to learn from and collaborate with diverse and talented teams and to share my perspectives and experiences from different cultural and educational backgrounds.
