ABOUT SHAMI IVAN

As the President of Concordia, a student branch of the world\'s largest technical professional organization, I oversee the operations, finances, and events of a team of 75 volunteers. I also lead the development and execution of the branch\'s strategic plan, vision, and goals, aligning them with the mission and values of In addition, I am a robotics instructor and project coordinator at Fusion Jeunesse, a non-profit organization that aims to reduce dropout rates by engaging students in hands-on learning projects. I mentor and guide students from diverse backgrounds to conceptualize and build robotics projects, using programming languages such as Node.js and JavaScript. I have been working in these roles for over a year, combining my passion for engineering, education, and leadership. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering at Concordia University, where I have acquired a strong foundation in computer science, mathematics, and electronics. I am also the former VP of Competitions at Concordia, where I organized and participated in several engineering competitions, such as the Xtreme Programming Competition and the Canadian Engineering Competition. I am always eager to learn new skills, challenge myself, and collaborate with others to create innovative solutions for real-world problems.
