In addition, she worked closely with the FAA to annually submit each airport’s ACIP in order to compete for grant funding. Shalyce was on the planning committee for the Port’s Women’s Development Network as well as the Employees for Education Board. Prior to joining the Port, Shalyce was the Senior Engineer for San Jose International Airport where she managed the design and construction of a major runway intersection reconstruction, the reconfiguration of Concourse A’s transportation islands, managed the planning and development capital improvement program and was the Airport’s FAA liaison.
